Jenna Savella, Dancer

Jenna Savella was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and trained at Lavrova Classical Ballet Academy and Dance West in Surrey, British Columbia and Canada’s National Ballet School. She joined The National Ballet of Canada as an apprentice in 2004 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2015.
Ms. Savella’s repertoire also includes Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Bronislava in Nijinsky, Autumn in The Four Seasons, Italian and Spanish Princess in Swan Lake and Second and Third and Fifth Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. She has also danced roles in Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Winter’s Tale, Cinderella, Onegin, Don Quixote, An Italian Straw Hat, Manon, Hamlet, Symphony in C, The Four Temperaments, Allegro Brillante, Russian Seasons, Chroma, the second detail and Emergence.
Ms. Savella received the Rolex Dancers First Award in 2015, the David Tory Award in 2014 and the National Ballet’s Patron Award of Merit in 2007 and 2006. She was also the recipient of a British Columbia Arts Council Scholarship and the Vancouver Foundation.
